About the congress
The Theranostics World Congress (TWC) bridges the gap between science and care to shape the future of Theranostics.
Our Vision: From Bench to Bedside – and beyond.
The Theranostics World Congress (TWC) is the central global platform for all disciplines engaged in Radiomolecular Precision Medicine in oncology.
Its mission is to unite experts from radiochemistry, radiopharmacy, nuclear medicine, oncology, emerging fields, and beyond — fostering scientific excellence and accelerating the translation of research into clinical practice in oncology.
What makes TWC unique is its unwavering focus on Theranostics and its distinctive format: one core program, one room, one community. No thematic dilution — just full immersion: from tumor biology to advanced therapeutic strategies, from training and education to clinical translation, and from bench to bedside and patient communities.
Its interdisciplinary philosophy is reflected in the leadership of two co-presidents: one representing nuclear chemistry and radiopharmacy, the other nuclear medicine.
TWC seeks to inspire progress, strengthen international collaboration, and connect generations of researchers, clinicians, and innovators worldwide. Circling the globe, each congress includes a pre-congress event designed to address regional challenges and ignite the next level of Theranostics.
Richard P. Baum & Frank Rösch,
Founders and Scientific Advisors of the TWC
TWC2027 in Osaka, Japan
The 9th Theranostics World Congress will bring together the global theranostics community to advance Radiomolecular Precision Medicine through scientific exchange, innovation, and collaboration.
Inspiring the Next Era of Theranostics
The 9th Theranostics World Congress (TWC2027) will take place in Osaka, Japan – a leading hub of innovation, technology, and medical research in Asia. With its strong integration of academic excellence, industrial development, and clinical application, Osaka represents one of the most dynamic environments for advancing theranostics and Radiomolecular Precision Medicine.
TWC2027 will continue the congress’s mission to bring together global experts in radiochemistry, radiopharmacy, nuclear medicine, medical physics, and oncology — fostering interdisciplinary exchange and accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical practice.
The congress is led by President Seigo Kinuya, supported by Co-Presidents Mikako Ogawa and Kenta Miwa, and Executive Congress Chair Tadashi Watabe. The Scientific Committee is chaired by Frederik Giesel, working alongside an international board of experts. The congress is further guided by its Honorary Presidents and founders, Richard P. Baum and Frank Rösch.
Building on the legacy of previous editions, TWC2027 will once again unite researchers, clinicians, and innovators from across the globe.
Further details on the scientific programme and abstract submission will be announced soon.
