Terms and Conditions of Participation
The following Terms and Conditions of Participation govern the terms and conditions for the registration and participation of any person (hereinafter "Participant") attending the 8th Theranostics World Congress 2026 (hereinafter "Event") as well as the entire business relationship between the Organiser and the Participant associated with the registration and/or participation.
Deviating terms and conditions of the participant are not valid.
The organiser is Kongress- und Kulturmanagement GmbH (hereinafter "Organiser"), Rießnerstr. 12 B, 99427 Weimar, info@kukm.de.
Registration via the registration portal is required for participation in the event. On-site registration is not possible.
Registration is binding for the participant. When registering for the first time, the participant must first create an account for which he/she configures his/her own password. Subsequently, the link received by e-mail must be confirmed in order to activate the account. The participant must enter the personal data requested in the registration portal and confirm that he/she has taken note of these conditions of participation and agrees to them. In the portal, all tickets offered within the scope of the event are available to the participant. By booking the ticket(s) by confirming the button "Finish Registration", the participant submits a binding registration. The contract is concluded with the booking confirmation following receipt of the booking.
Changes and/or additions to the contract must be made in writing. Verbal agreements shall only apply if confirmed in writing by the organiser.
The participation fee includes access to the scientific programme and the industry exhibition. It does not include travel, accommodation, or personal subsistence costs.
Fees for the Congress Ticket and the Social Evening, as well as any processing charges and return debit fees, are charged in the name and on behalf of Kongress- und Kulturmanagement GmbH (KUKM). In accordance with § 3a (3) of the German VAT Act (UStG), no VAT is charged. The VAT liability is transferred to the recipient of the service (reverse charge procedure). KUKM GmbH VAT ID: DE158265638.
Unless otherwise stated, participation fees apply per person. All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and are based on the date of receipt of the registration. If a deadline is missed, the next higher fee will automatically apply.
Registration Periods:
- Early Registration: until August 31, 2025, 11:59 p.m. (CEST)
- Regular Registration: from September 1, 2025
If reduced fees (e.g. for society members or students) are offered, they are shown separately. If no reduction is displayed, it cannot be granted.
Participants claiming a reduced fee confirm that they meet the relevant criteria at the time of registration and throughout the congress. Membership status will be verified based on official membership lists.
Proof of eligibility for any discount (e.g. student ID, membership certificate) must be provided before the start of the congress. If no valid proof is submitted, the full participation fee will be charged, along with a handling fee of €40.
The participation fees are to be paid in advance with the registration by credit card or direct debit. After receipt of the registration, the participant will receive a binding booking confirmation and the invoice for the participation fee by e-mail.
In deviation from this, in the case of payment by bank transfer, the total price is to be transferred in full to the account named in the invoice by 10 days after receipt of the invoice, at the latest by the start of the event, quoting the invoice number. The participant must ensure that the final amount of his/her order can be booked without deduction, i.e. any bank and/or transfer fees incurred are to be borne by the participant. The details required for the transfer (invoice number, bank details) will be shown in the invoice. The invoice will be sent by e-mail.
Participation in the event is not possible without payment of the participation fee.
Should the payment not be successfully made for reasons for which the participant is responsible (e.g. insufficient credit card or bank account coverage, chargeback), the participant shall compensate any damage or expenses arising from the chargeback. A processing fee of € 40.00 will be charged for each processing of a chargeback. In the event of an unjustified chargeback (return debit) of the credit card, a processing fee of € 40.00 will also be charged. Further claims of the organiser against the participants are not affected by this.
Participation in the event is personal and cannot be divided among several persons.
The name badge will not be sent by post in advance. The participant will receive the badge on site.
The badge must be worn visibly by all participants during the event. No admission to the event can be granted without the badge.
Changes, rebookings and/or cancellations must be made in writing by e-mail or by letter:
Kongress- und Kulturmanagement GmbH, Rießnerstr. 12 B, 99427 Weimar; Germany organization@theranostics-world-congress.org.
A claim for change and the effectiveness of a cancellation will be confirmed in writing by e-mail. Verbal agreements are non-binding as long as they are not confirmed in writing by KUKM GmbH.
In the event of cancellation of a service, the following cancellation conditions apply:
- until November 1, 2025: fee will be refunded minus a processing fee of € 40.00
- from November 2, 2025: no refund
The cancellation conditions also apply in the event that the participation fee has not yet been paid. In this case, the cancellation fee must be paid in full.
There will be no refund of the participation fee in the event of no-show, illness, early departure, etc.
If the registered participant cannot attend the event, he/she has the option of naming a substitute person for participation. In this case, the registration will be transferred to the substitute person. A processing fee of € 40.00 will be charged for this rebooking. If a reduced ticket has been booked, proof of the new participant is required to retain the reduction, otherwise the difference will be charged subsequently.
The organiser reserves the right to make minor deviations from the event description with regard to the content and the course of the event. The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the content of the event programme at short notice for important organisational or factual reasons, insofar as this is necessary, and to appoint substitute speakers in exceptional cases. In the event of any changes, the overall character of the event shall be preserved. In this case, there is no right to a (partial) refund or reimbursement of other expenses.
Furthermore, the organiser is not liable for the cancellation of announced speakers. In the event of cancellation, the participant is not entitled to compensation of any kind. The organiser will endeavour to find an adequate replacement. The current list of speakers can be found in the programme overview. Changes at short notice are only possible to a limited extent for technical reasons.
The organizer is entitled to hold the event exclusively virtually if, in connection with a pandemic such as the SARS-COV2 virus, the event is prohibited or unreasonably restricted in its planned scope as a face-to-face event due to official orders and/or legal prohibitions, if its implementation contradicts official or epidemiological recommendations and/or if travel restrictions make it impracticable to hold the event to the planned extent.
The organizer is entitled to postpone, shorten, abort, temporarily interrupt, partially close or cancel the event in justified exceptional situations. A justified exceptional situation that justifies such a measure exists if there are reasonable indications that the planned implementation or continuation of the event could lead to a specific risk of harm to life or limb or to property of considerable value. There is also a justified exceptional situation if the event cannot be held with the planned/registered number of participants or can only be held under considerable conditions due to a pandemic such as the SARS-COV2 virus and the resulting requirements to contain/control the pandemic (e.g. Infection Protection Act, general decree of the local authority responsible for health protection).
The organiser is entitled to postpone, shorten, cancel, temporarily interrupt, partially close or cancel the event in justified exceptional situations, if due to force majeure (e.g. official order or urgent official recommendation, industrial action, terrorist or other danger to life or limb, natural events, pandemics, epidemics), the undisturbed execution of the event is impaired or endangered to such an extent that the purpose of the event intended with the planned execution cannot be achieved for participants or for the organiser, or can only be achieved with considerable restrictions.
The organiser shall make the decision at its own dutiful discretion. The decision shall take into account the interests of all participants concerned, both with regard to the purpose of the event and with regard to the necessary safety considerations.
The registered participants will be informed immediately of any significant changes in the course of the event as well as of the cancellation of the event.
If an event is cancelled, the participation fees already paid will be refunded in full. The participant shall have no further claims against the organiser arising from the cancellation of the event.
In the event of a postponement (in terms of time or space) or shortening of the event before the start of the event, the contract shall be deemed to have been concluded for the new venue or event period. If participation is not possible due to the postponement or shortening of the event, the participant may withdraw from the contract and the participation fees already paid will be refunded in full. The participant shall have no further claims against the organiser arising from a postponement of the event.
In the event of premature termination (cancellation, curtailment), temporary interruption or partial closure after the start of the event or in the event of a late start, the participant's obligation to participate in the part of the event not cancelled and to pay the participation fee agreed in full shall remain in force.
For the purpose of documentation and follow-up reporting regarding the event, image and video recordings will be made by the organiser or by commissioned or accredited persons as well as service providers. The recordings shall be used for publication, in particular in print and online media (e.g. website, social media), in order to report on the event accordingly.
By registering, the participant agrees to the free production of photographic, film and/or acoustic recordings and their use on the internet pages, in the print media and social media of the organiser.
Each participant has the possibility to object to both the recording and the publication of recordings in excerpts. Participants who do not wish to be recorded should contact the registration desk on site if they object.
The legal basis for the above data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. If the organiser wishes to publish the contribution of a specific participant, a separate consent of this participant will be obtained.
All image and publication rights are held by the organiser. Picture, video or sound recordings by the participant within the framework of the event are not permitted or require the prior written consent of the organiser in any case. The same applies to any subsequent use of image or sound recordings of the event that is not exclusively for private purposes.
All documents issued to the participant are protected by copyright and may only be used for personal use. Rights of use are only transferred by express written granting of rights of use. Duplication, distribution, processing or public reproduction of any kind is generally not permitted and requires the written consent of the organiser.
The organiser accepts no responsibility for the topicality, correctness, completeness or quality of the information and documents provided by the speakers. The speaker alone is liable for any damages arising from the use of such information.
Participation in the event is at the participants' own risk.
The organiser shall not be liable for damages resulting from accidents, damage, loss or theft, in particular also not for consequential damages (e.g. loss of profit, compensation for futile expenses, etc.) resulting from the event, unless these are based on intentional or grossly negligent conduct on the part of the organiser or its legal representatives and vicarious agents or are caused by a breach of an essential contractual obligation. Material contractual obligations are obligations the fulfilment of which is essential for the proper performance of the contract and on the observance of which the contractual partner may regularly rely and the breach of which, on the other hand, jeopardises the achievement of the purpose of the contract.
The Organiser handles all personal data in accordance with the provisions of the German Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). Further information can be found in the data protection declaration, which can be viewed during the registration process and in the footer of the registration portal at https://www.kukm-conferences.com/Home/Index/Event/twc2026/en-GB.
We inform you that in order to register for the above event, it is necessary to process your personal data or the personal data of the participating person(s). The data will only be passed on to third parties who are directly involved in the event process and if the organisational process requires this. This requires your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a, b, f DSGVO.
Please understand that without your consent or the consent of the person(s) you are registering, registration for the above event cannot take place.
Deviations from these General Terms and Conditions for Participants must be made in writing to be effective.
Should one or more provisions of these terms and conditions be ineffective or contain a loophole, the parties shall replace or supplement the ineffective or incomplete provision with the legal provisions that come closest to the purpose of the intended provision. The validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The place of performance and jurisdiction shall be the registered office of the organiser, unless the participant is a consumer.
Customers whose registration cannot be attributed to a commercial or self-employed professional activity (§ 13 BGB) have the right to cancel their registration in writing within 14 days of receipt of the registration confirmation without giving reasons. Cancellation fees will not be charged. The right of cancellation can no longer be exercised once the event has taken place.

Your safety is of the utmost importance to us at KUKM, which is why a location that is as secure as possible has been chosen for the organisation of the congress/social evening and get-together
Nevertheless, we would ask you to consider the following points and follow them if necessary:
- During your stay in South Africa, carry a cell phone with you and do not carry it visibly in urban areas. Emergency numbers: Police 10 111, ambulance 10 177 or 112. When you arrive at the airport, you can purchase South African SIM cards (internet and calling credit) at a reasonable price.
- Do not flaunt valuables; avoid large, valuable handbags if possible – avoid carrying large sums of cash
- Street children and beggars may approach you for a handout. If you wish to help, consider giving food, donating to a registered charity or contact Cape Town Tourism for advice.
- Do not select any cash machines on the open street, but rather in shopping malls, supermarkets or banks and never allow strangers to watch you or help you.
- Avoid the city centres of Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and other large cities after business hours and especially after dark; on Sundays and holidays you should only be in the city centres in groups. Also exercise caution during the day.
- Keep copies of all valuable documents in a safe place.
- When visiting publicly accessible natural areas and parks and well-known tourist attractions, do not use isolated streets or hiking trails and avoid deserted areas. Only visit townships in an organized way and only with a local guide.
These are only tips and do not claim to be complete.
